USS Bainbridge DD-1

Destroyers, ‘Tin Cans’, are still the ‘Greyhounds of the Sea’. The first U. S. Navy destroyer was commissioned December 23, 1903. The USS Bainbridge had a crew of four Officers and 69 Sailors and was armed with two 3-inch guns, five 6-pounders, and two 18-inch torpedo tubes.
